Percussion caps 10 vs 113/30/2024 So, my advice is to call Ruger back and ask their advice. They might even send you a mailing label. If you ask, Ruger might tell you the details of how best to send your revolver. Sending arms through the mail or other carrier between the Owner the the Factory (in either direction) has a special dispensation, so transfer/sending through a FFL is NOT required. But Corporate policies can sometimes be even stickier. They sometimes have the same lack of knowledge, but at least the chance of a government agent mis-applying Law is less. The alternative is to send it by FedEx, UPS or other carrier. (Forgive my rancor, I have little patience for professionals who don't know their jobs.) If your post office is hidebound, you may (already have) gotten someone who knows little and cares less. Of course, this is Alaska and the sender was knowledgeable. No problem (but the seller paid for a gunsmith to re-solder the lug, so no claim was made). The lug retaining the ramrod lever came unsoldered, and I asked about making a claim against the Post Office Insurance. I bought a Ruger Old Army from Gun Broker.
